From Creation to Curation

If an AI can write better than I do, can people enjoy it?
I know writing is not always for others, it's really helpful to gather your own thoughts and being able to formulate complex ideas in simple terms.
But writing to convey ideas to others is a skill that can be learned. Including by LLMs. Especially by LLMs.
So one could argue that the value in content creation is not in the creation itself, but in the curation. Cost of content production is going to 0. Attention remains the same and is scarce. Algorithms are designed to distribute the content for retention and engagement.
Can we be our own curators? Can we trust ourselves? Or will we default to consuming memes?
Or do we need someone else to guide us to the content we need and want to consume?
Are the interests aligned between ourselves and the platforms?
I want to experiment with directing AI-generated writings, and making them not the bland stochastic output we're used to with LLM. I'll still write my thoughts myself, without any AI assistance, because I believe in the value of it.
